Well… We’re looking for a System Administrator/SRE to join our journey.

This role is all about installing, maintaining and updating the infrastructure used for Tricent for GWS. You will be an integral part of releasing our software to production and participate in our daily stand ups.

In this role, your focus will be on VMs, GKE, databases and other GCP infrastructure components and monitoring and alerting tools (eg. Datadog). You’ll report directly to Florus, our Head of Google Platform & Global Operations and will work closely with the developers in the team and with our Product department.

Responsibilities & Tasks

• All VMs

• GKE

• Linux system administrator

• Database administrator (Postgres)

• Configure and follow-up on monitoring and alerts

• Investigate GCP offerings and update to newer version of currently used products

• Implement and maintain Puppet code for configuration and security management of Linux OS

• Maintain and update CI/CD pipelines

• Provide infrastructure knowledge to our developers

• Participate in the 24/7 schedule

Competencies & Knowledge

• Experienced Linux system administrator (we mainly use Debian)

• Worked on an architect level with a public cloud

• Maintained Kubernetes clusters, so you know your Helm and yaml

• Created and maintained CI/CD pipelines

• Great troubleshooting skills - you can easily adapt to a new situation and are not afraid to decide what to do next

• Written code for a configuration tool like Puppet

• A mindset that always makes decisions that will consider scalability, maintainability and security

• Worked in a similar role on a SaaS based product before

• Experience with tools like Git, Kubectl, Terraform, Docker

Other things on the wishlist that would be excellent if you can say ‘yes’ to:

• Public cloud experience, preferably GCP

• Have used Datadog as a monitoring and alerting tool

• Have some knowledge of Python and Typescript

• Know about SOC2 and CIS and what it means to maintain an infrastructure to conform to those standards

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor in IT or just enough real-life experience

• 2+ years in a SaaS based product environment

• It would be great if you have GCP certifications
